Arrived at Huntsville by 4pm, parked vehicle behind the AFA office and 'car-pooled' to Pembroke with Gord Cumming.
Supper was enroute. We arrived at the hotel by 8pm. We had a meeting in the hotel lobby with Megan Summers concerning her planned September 6th TedX Algonquin Park symposium.

As in April, the day's meeting was conducted in the Algonquins of Ontario office in Pembroke.
After approval of the last meeting's minutes, we dealt with a few outstanding details of Criterion 1 and 2 VOITS.
The bulk of the meeting's work involved discussion of the VOITS of Criterions 3 and 4.

Criterion 4 Role in Global Ecological Cycles .. Element 4.1 Carbon Uptake and Storage ... Net carbon uptake ... Reforestation success.
Criterion 5 Economic and Social Benefits .. Element 5.1 Timber and Non-timber Benefits ... Quantity and quality of projected harvested products ... Public complaints about impact on backcountry recreation ... Provision on website of map with location of planned operations, including primary haulage routes ... Cottage/lease areas of concern compliance ... Research and support of preservation of cultural heritage ... Promotion of cultural heritage information and events ... Compliance with AOC's involving separation between recreation and forestry operations.
