7. Moose at Rock Lake

Canoes allow the best viewing of moose in their natural habitat. Check feeder bays and fertile creeks during the early morning and late evening. This moose was where Louisa Creek flows into Rock Lake.

Moose shoreline habitat requires constant lake levels. Don't waste time looking for moose on the rocky shores of "draw-down" (hydro-control dammed) lakes.
