3. Canisbay Lake Feeder BayCanoeing along the east shore
of Cannisbay Lake, one
comes across this established
beaver and moose habitat.
An old beaver dam once closed off the entire bay. It blocked waves from across the lake and collected sediment over the years. Aquatic and emergent vegetation spread across and around the bay, allowing it to become an inviting and productive "feeder bay". |
