3. First Night's SiteOnce over the portage and past the old railway bridge, we paddled east around the island. Here Scott brings supplies up to our site high on the island's southeast point.
Our first night was stormy with lightning and high winds. Fortunately, our site was shielded by dense trees to the west. By morning the rain stopped and the clouds thinned. |
