These photos are from a four night stay on Islet Lake (July 2nd to 6th, 2002). While this trip was unique insofar as I'd never been to Islet Lake before, it was also unique because I took along a digital camera for the first time. I've always been a 35mm SLR user, so much so that I couldn't bring myself to leave my film system behind. It sure is odd getting this series of photos online before the film has even got to the local lab. The process of taking the shots was definitely different too. I found myself making good use of the 'delete' and 'retake' options, when the initial effort didn't meet my expectations. For purely online use, this sure is the way to go. For large copy use, my film system is still the way to go. In order to get comparable high definition results, I'd have to invest in a quasi-professional digital camera ... much more expensive than this modest entry-level consumer model. If anyone is having first experiences with a digital camera, while tripping in the interior, please share your experiences and opinions with everyone on the site message board.
