Landing

Topography of under-water approach: : East landing - small rock & silt. West landing - sandy beach.

Impediments to disembarking from and/or unloading a canoe: East landing - slight lift to site. West landing - None.

Topography to tent sites: East landing - short level carry. West landing - carry up over rooty section.

Campsite

Campsite maintenance: Regular

Open ground area: 15m x 8m.

Extent of tree cover: 40% .

Degree of levelness: Level at tentpads and firepit.

Number of level tent sites: 3.

North exposure: trees.

East exposure: trees, open view of lake at firepit.

South exposure: open view of lake.

West exposure: trees, open view of lake at firepit.

General description: A medium sized site with a great view of the lake from the firepit. The firepit area is completely open to the sky while the tenting area has enough trees to offer some protection from any wind. There are 2 landing areas, while the area to the west side would offer the easiest landing.

Overall accessibility: No issues when landing on the west side of the island. When landing on the east side, there is a slight lift and carry over some uneven ground.
