Landing

Topography of under-water approach: Rocky bottom with a few protruding rocks.

Impediments to disembarking from and/or unloading a canoe: Rocky point. it can be slippery. Need to be careful.

Topography to tent sites: Flat, easy access.

Campsite maintenance: Regular.

Size of open area: Point is completely open. Tent area is fairly treed.

Extent of tree cover: Fire pit and tent area are treed. Not too much at the fire pit to obstruct the view of the water.

Degree of levelness: Mostly quite level.

Number of level tent sites: At least 3 average sized tent pads.

North exposure: Treed.

East exposure: Open to lake from point. Treed at fire pit and tent area.

South exposure: Open to lake from point. A few trees impede view from fire pit.

West exposure: Open to lake from point. Treed at fire pit and tent area.

General description: Very good campsite with great point for star gazing and swimming. Nice fire pit area with 4 benches. Level site. Really only lacks a sandy beach for landing.

Overall accessibility: Fair. Need to be sure-footed on rocky point.
