Ragged Lake Campsite #19
Landing Topography of under-water approach: Sandy landing from the south side. Impediments to disembarking from and/or unloading a canoe: None. Topography to tent sites: Coming up from the landing, there is a 1.5 meter elevation leading to the firepit. There is one medium tent site on the same level as the fire pit. On approach from the south, the orange site-poster is centered in this photo, but the main firepit is through the clearing on the left ... Easy landing for loading canoes ... Elevation leading up from the landing into the site ... Campsite Regular or low-maintenance: Regular. Size of open ground area: Sheltered, small. Extent of tree cover: Tent site(s) are covered, unless you use the one too close to the firepit. Degree of levelness: Fire pit and tent sites are fairly level. Number of tent sites: 1+. North exposure: Forest. East exposure: Trees. South exposure: Lake. West exposure: Trees. Partially fallen tree (as at 2025) that gave the site an ominous feeling ... Another view of the impact from this fallen tree ... The view of the lake facing south over the firepit. ... The view looking north over the firepit showing a possible tent spot ... General description: This is a small campsite with a very precarious and ominous tree that was partially fallen in 2025. There is a tall firepit, one small log “bench”, not much else to rave about here. A second (possibly/very likely unsafe) firepit is located in the core of the site away from the water/wind exposure. Overall accessibility: Landing is easy, and there is a slope towards the firepit and tent sites, but otherwise quite accessible.
