North Tea Lake East, Campsite #18


Topography of under-water approach: Sand and gravel in shallow water.

Impediments to disembarking from and/or unloading a canoe: None.

Topography to tent sites: A near vertical carry of two meters using tree roots as a ladder.

Approach to the site.

A small beach next to the landing. Landing for CS #16 can be seen in the distance.

The roots to the left of the stairs can be used to climb up to the campsite.


Campsite maintenance: Regular

Open ground area: 15m x 5m.

Extent of tree cover: 50% .

Degree of levelness: Slight rise from north to south.

Number of tent sites: 2 areas allow 4 small tents to be pitched.

North exposure: : trees and a partial view of the lake.

East exposure: trees.

South exposure: trees.

West exposure: view of the lake.

General description: North side of the site has an open view to the west from the firepit, and is exposed to the sun starting early in the day. The site is perfectly located for sunset viewing.

Overall accessibility: The staircase to the campsite makes for good grandstand seating. The very large step up from the ground to the first step ruins it as an actual staircase.
