Booth Lake Campsite #10
Landing Topography of under-water approach: Pebble beach landing from the west. Impediments to disembarking from and/or unloading a canoe: None. If windy, tie or anchor the canoe to shore. Topography to tent sites: Coming up from the landing, there is about a 5 meter elevation with wooden stairs leading to the bushcraft tables and firepit. Lots of well used paths lead off the core gathering area. The ground is very level and able to accommodate several large tents. Staircase leading up to the core common area level ... View from the top of the stairs showing the two bushcraft tables on the left and the firepit (in the shade) to the right ... Looking west over the firepit toward the tables and staircase to the lake and landing. The right side of the photo reveals the flat area north of the core with room for tents ... Campsite Campsite maintenance: regular. Size of open area: Very open, large. Extent of tree cover: Tent sites have reasonable coverage, especially as the prevailing winds come from the north-west. Degree of levelness: Fire pit and tent sites are all very level. Number of level tent sites: 3+. North exposure: Trees. East exposure: Forest. South exposure: Trees. West exposure: Lake, partially obstructed. Looking north over the firepit to some cleared open level area for tent(s) ... Looking south over the firepit to reveal more level open ground with room for a couple large tents ... General description: Overall a large campsite that is quite open but relatively sheltered to the prevailing winds. Overall accessibility: Landing is easy, but the steep slope to the firepit and tent sites may deter some weak in the knees, otherwise a very nice spot.
