ABR Forum Access ... November 12, 2008 ... ABR News Item
The ABR Executive Committee has decided to adjust the ABR forum access controls to no longer require users to register with the forum provider and to log-in before posting. This requirement had been originally adopted to prevent frivolous postings. However, because of the public's preference to use an associated forum (at which registration is optional) to discuss ABR-related issues, the ABR Executive Committee has decided to adjust the ABR forum access controls accordingly.
With the 'off-season' here, now is the time to rekindle public interest in "caring for Algonquin's backcountry".
Everyone is encouraged to promote the ABR website and its forum by including links to them in their 'signature' when signing emails and forum postings. By this form of 'word-of-mouth' communications we will be able to increase the public's awareness and to help develop the Algonquin Backcountry Recreationalists into an increasingly effective organization.
