Cody (forum handle: "trippythings") has posted still another trip-log to his "Algonquin and Beyond" website... "Algonquin Park Fall Colours - Camping on Head Lake". It was a three day solo trip .. from Cache Lake to Head Lake and back.

He has also documented "10 Campsite Reports". Links to them are added to this website's PCI Project.

"All of these things kept putting me behind schedule, but all of these things were absolutely worth it. I was much happier that I spent time enjoying my morning at the campsite, that I took my time walking back along the portage trail, and that I stopped to chat with my fellow backcountry campers at the end of the portage."

Drew (forum handle: "AlgonquinLakes") has shared on his website "All Of Algonquin", the trip-log of his September four-person-group loop-trip out of Pinetree Lake .. via Fraser, David Thompson, Galeairy, Rock, Gordon, Jean, Fork, and Rose Lake ... "Pinetree Lake Loop".

"I really liked Fraser Lake. It’s not as big as Pinetree, but it’s not small, either. There’s only one campsite on the lake, on top of a rocky ledge on the south shore, and it looks like a great spot to spend a night or two. We paddled past it, then through a picturesque little narrow stretch that was dominated by tall pines and rocky shoreline. As we slid across the water, I noticed that the ripples around us were picking up. We had a slight tailwind, which seemed like the icing on the cake that was our Fraser Lake visit."

MartinG shared a trip-log report by means of a series of postings on the website forum. It has now been converted to a single conventional HTML page .. "The Meanest Link 2021".

"We were both wet and cranky as we paddled into our last lake of the day, Chibiabos Lake. The first campsite was taken, so we paddled on. As we approached the only other site on the lake, we saw smoke rising from the campsite and a smiling figure waving to us through the rain. What a Godsend! Our friend Mark Rubino ( www.markinthepark.com ) had gotten there earlier in the day. He brought us our food cache, started a fire, cut wood, and set up the camp. What a morale boost that was. For the first time on the trip, we got to sit around a fire enjoying camaraderie, stories, drinks and munchies. This was exactly what we needed at just the right time."

Cody (forum handle: "trippythings") has posted another trip-log .. "The Big Dipper - 8 Days Alone in Algonquin" to his Algonquin and Beyond" website. He has also documented "29 Campsite Reports". Links to them are added to this website's PCI Project.

"This might have been the most relaxed and at peace I’ve ever felt on a canoe trip. No nighttime paranoia or anything like that. I was just so happy to be out there."

Evan and his daughter Olivia, his dad and Rich went on a weekend paddle-in 'basecamp' trip to Basin Lake. Share their 'family excursion' by way of three videos hosted on Evan's YouTube channel "Single Malt and Maps".

#1 Base Camp on Basin Lake .. #2 Old Cabin and a High Falls .. #3 Whispering Winds Lookout

"This quick two night trip to Basin Lake was scheduled last minute once the Park opened this summer, and was a nice little dip back into nature .. It was a nice change of pace, and being closer to home was nice without being too crowded."

Andrew and Andrea got back from Kioshkokwi Lake on August 29 and promptly submitted a PCI campsite report ... "Kioshkokwi Lake Campsite 12".

"This is a large, pretty site that could easily accommodate a large group. There are two levels, the fire pit area which is quite exposed and the tent site area which is more sheltered. The exposed fire pit area is a good place to enjoy the sunrise and sunset, and there is a "back porch" set up on a cliff that is surprisingly sheltered while still offering a nice view of the lake where you can take in the sunset."

Drew (forum handle: "AlgonquinLakes") has posted on his website "All Of Algonquin", a four-part trip-log of a four-day early August solo trip he took out of Rain Lake .. all the way to Canoe Lake!

Start with day one .. "Rain Lake to Canoe Lake – Day One". And continue with "Day Two", "Day Three" and "Day Four".

"Fortunately, water levels were just fine, and I was able to use the regular portage takeout. Or, more accurately, I confused a small opening in the shoreline with the regular portage takeout, bumped and poked myself a bunch while unloading, muttered terrible things about whoever put that takeout where they did as I loaded up, then realized I had stopped about 10 metres shy of the actual (very nice!) takeout when I walked past it."
