Landing at Opalescent Lake

Topography of under-water approach: Shallow with some deadwood and rocks to maneuver around.

Impediments to disembarking from and/or unloading a canoe: A couple of rocks on the north edge of the landing's bay lend themselves to unloading. The landing area in front of the portage sign is a bit shallow and could be awkward for unloading.

Topography of the ascending grade: Rough rocky area on the north side and a 'rocky=rooty' slope up from the end of the bay area.

Impediments to moving gear to portage trail: The prementioned rocks and slope.
