Joe Lake - East Arm - Campsite #5

Note: The reservation sysytem distinguishes between "Joe & Western Narrows" and "Little Joe & East Arm" reservation zones. This campsite is #5 in "Little Joe & East Arm", which has a total of 9 campsites, of which 6 reservations are issued at any one time.

Landing

Topography of under-water approach: Sandy beach underwater, with a large rock to the right. Shallow water 1 feet deep (in May)

Impediments to disembarking from and/or unloading a canoe: Roughly a 1-foot step up onto flat surface of the campground grass/dirt area.

Topography to tent sites: Once you're on the campsite area, there are small roots and rocks near the landing clearing .. with dirt and grass near the fire pit .. and grass near the water's edge.

Campsite maintenance: regular

Size of open area: 20 x 45 ft.

Extent of tree cover: Trees near the shore and surrounding the site open in the middle.

Degree of levelness: Fairly flat, with a few small roots and rocks.

Number of level tent sites: 4.
