General description: A pleasant, simple site with an easy landing right on the main canoe route through Catfish Lake. The site could accommodate two large tents although the room around the fire pit is somewhat small. The site provides pleasant views to the west and south with the chance of seeing a moose on the western shoreline in the distance. It is close enough to the other two sites just north that you can hear occassional noise - especially if the breeze is blowing in the right direction or if they are being particularly loud. Being on a point, there is a large amount of firewood available back in the forest. The two neighboring sites to the north would offer slightly more privacy and protection from cold winds but this is a pleasant location in fair weather and summer conditions. We did not swim, but did not see any impediments to enjoying a dip off the gravel beach.

Overall accessibility: Easily accessible, simple to find, plenty of room for several canoes and at least two large tents.
